Message of the Day: Be Swift to Hear! Do the Word! Do not Deceive Yourself!

Do not merely listen to the word, and so deceive yourselves, do what it says.” (James 1:22 NIV)

Christians should not just read the Bible, they should do what it says. James implies that by merely hearing the word and not doing it, one deceives himself. To think that hearing is all that is required is deception. Obedience is the main thing.

What does it do to you when you hear and believe the word but put it to no practical use? Inactive faith is useless! It is deceitful!

Be swift to hear! Do the Word! Do not deceive yourself!
