Message of the Day: God’s Invitation to Pray with A Promise
“Thus says the Lord who made the earth, the Lord who formed it to establish it, the Lord is His name, ‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.” (Jeremiah 33:2 – 3, NASB)

The prophet Jeremiah being the people’s representative is encouraged by God to pray for the things He already determined to fulfill, that is, the restoration of Israel which at that time was hidden or inaccessible and therefore could not be understood by the people. But God revealed these things to Jeremiah, however, the unbelief of the people of God caused him to forget.
The rest of chapter 33 reveals that God will first judge His people and then restore them in incredible ways.
Here, we are invited by God to pray with a promise that He will surely answer us and reveal “great and mighty things” to us. This is the most precious of all the privileges that we can ever get, “to be encouraged to pray by no less than God”; we have here the most extraordinary of all promises, “that God will answer us”; and the most encouraging of all promises, “that God will reveal “great and mighty things.”
May we be encouraged to pray at all times!
