Message of the Day: God’s Word is Made Open to Us that We may See Its Beauty
“The unfolding of your word gives light; it gives understanding to the simple.” (Psalm 119:130, NASB)

In the original Hebrew, the word “unfolding” is rendered “opening” or “entrance”, like that of a gate of a city or the door of a house. A door is opened for us so we can enter the house or a city and see its beauty. It denotes opening or unfolding of God’s Word, the unveiling of the word to the mind of a person.
The context therefore does not refer to the entrance of the word into the mind but it is being made open to us so we can enter it and see its beauty. It gives understanding to those who desire for it.
The Bible is available for us in many different ways. In the age of social media, God’s Word is made open to us in a very convenient way. If we desire for it we can access it and see its beauty and meaning.
