Message of the Day: Not One of Us is Forgotten before God
“Are not five sparrows sold for two cents? Yet not one of them is forgotten before God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Do not fear, you are more valuable than many sparrows.” (Luke 12:6-7, NASB)
Here, Jesus encourages his disciples not to fear for two remarkable reasons: One, God takes care of sparrows; two, God numbers the hair of the head.
If he takes care of little birds which have little value (five sparrows sold for two nickels [NASB Study Bible]) and if He regards small things like hair and numbers it, He will certainly take care of them and protect them.
In the same way, we are more valuable than birds. God will surely provide what we need. We don’t have to worry about anything. We ought not to fear what man can do. God is there to protect us.
If you feel alone, you wonder why God seems so silent and distant, know that you are not forgotten. God is always there for you, he will never forsake you. In fact, He has a lot in store for you. Just humbly come to him in prayer, He knows what you need.
