Message of the Day: God’s Word Brings Joy More Valuable than Wealth
“I have rejoiced in the way of your testimonies,
As much as in all richness.” (Psalm 119:14, NASB)
The first sixteen verses of Psalm 119 expresses the happiness experienced by people who live according to God’s Word. Verse 14 speaks of the pleasure one finds in the word of God.

The word “rejoiced” here expresses a high degree of joy. The author of this psalm must have been a prominent and wealthy Israelite who knew the benefits of having acquired large amount of gold and silver. However, the joy he finds in the word of God is greater than his possession.
There is nothing wrong with working hard to reach your goals and to acquire possessions needed in this life, even the desire to be rich. But if you are looking for joy that is more valuable than what you own in life, you turn to God’s word.
May we find this kind of joy even as we prosper in life.
