Message of the Day: God Is With Us As We Push For Jesus’ Campaign Of World Evangelization
“Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:19-20, NASB)
Jesus’ public ministry was limited to Israel, but the work of the resurrected Christ, which now has been passed on to the disciples, extended to all the nations of the world without distinction. They are assured that his power would be with them, protecting them through dangers and enabling them to perform remarkable works (Matt. 28:16-18).

Jesus’ purpose was to push for his campaign of world evangelization, as his disciples proclaim the gospel, and train their own disciples. These converts/disciples in turn passed the message to others. The campaign goes on and on, with the assurance that the resurrected Christ was working with them.
They were commanded to baptize their disciples not just as a sign of repentance but of their union with and commitment to Christ. Matthew ends with the reassuring and empowering words of Jesus who came to earth to be “God with us”.
Today, we continue to push for this campaign with the same vigor, commitment, and most of all, with the same assurance that the power of the resurrected Christ is always with us all the time.
