Message of the Day: Reasons for Having Greater Unity Among Christians.

Therefore if there is any consolation in Christ, if any comfort of love, if any fellowship of the Spirit, if any affection and, mercy, fulfill my joy by being like-minded, having the same love, being of one accord, of one mind.” (Phil. 2:1&2, NKJV)

The apostle Paul laid down at least four reasons for the greater unity among Christians. (1) the encouragement given them by Christ (“…of there is any consolation in Christ…”), (2) the power of Christ’s love working in them (…”if any comfort of love…”), (3) the common sharing they have in the same Spirit (“…if any fellowship of the Spirit…”), and the sympathetic kindness that God’s children should show to each other.

May He find us having greater unity among ourselves now until He comes!
