Message of the Day: God’s Purpose Prevails Over People’s Plans

Listen to counsel and receive instruction, that you may be wise in your latter days. There are many plans in a man’s heart, nevertheless the Lord’s counsel-that will stand.” (Proverbs 19:20-21, NKJV)

Ill-natured persons never seem to learn, and eventually bring trouble upon themselves repeatedly (Proverbs 19:19-20). It is God who directs the affairs of men and he desires from them reverent loyalty.

Many are the plans in people’s hearts, but God’s purpose prevails. The failure of man’s devices is implied here. We can always allow God to fulfill his purposes for our lives for he knows what’s best for us.
