Message of the Day: A Personal and Practical Knowledge of God Produce A Fruitful and Healthy Spiritual Life.

For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of his will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding.” (Colossians 1:9, NKJV)

This is one of Paul’s four most beautiful prayers for his churches, the other three are Eph. 1:6-19; 3:14-19; Phil. 1:9-11.

Paul prays that believers in Colossae will increase in knowledge in addition to having love. This knowledge means having a Christlike life. It is not merely the possession of facts and information but practical wisdom having to do with godly living. It is not like the theorizing of the Gnostics, which leads only to feelings of superiority and self-satisfaction.

It is a personal and practical knowledge of God which produce a fruitful and healthy spiritual life. Right knowledge always result to right attitude.
