Message of the Day: Seek the Spiritual more than the Physical Benefits.

And Jesus said to them, I am the Bread of Life. He who comes to me shall never hunger, and he who believes in me shall never thirst.” (John 6:35, NKJV)

After the feeding of the multitudes, people thought Jesus could miraculously provide them with their physical needs. In fact, many Jews were determined to make him their king because of the miracle.

Jesus, knowing that these people wanted him to be king not because of spiritual motives but because they thought he had magical powers that could supply their daily bread. He therefore, urged them to seek the spiritual more than just the physical and temporal benefits.

Jesus was referring to the bread from heaven, it gives life, it satisfies not just the physical body but the soul. It is a spiritual provision available to those who, being drawn by the Father to the Son, give themselves to him in faith (John 6:34-37)
