Message of the Day: Jesus is the Only Way to God, the Embodiment of Truth, and the Center of Our Life.

Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'” (John 14:6, NKJV)

At this point, it was clear to the disciples that Jesus will die soon. He therefore comforted them by saying he was going to the Father to prepare a place for them, then one day come back to take them so they will be with him forever.

Thomas misunderstood it thinking Jesus was referring to literal location. He asked Jesus to show them the way. He was overwhelmed. Jesus clarified that he was referring to himself as the only way to God not a physical location or journey. He is the means by which we can enter heaven, he is the embodiment of truth, and the center of our life.

We don’t have to shrink back at these words of Jesus. If he is the Son of God, they are necessarily true.
