Message of the Day: God Has Commissioned Messengers to Guide and Instruct Us.
“The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from your midst, from your brethren. Him you shall hear.” (Deut. 18: 15, NKJV)
Israel’s law prohibited all forms of witchcraft and magic, whether cruel practices in which children were burnt on the altar or made to walk through fire, or common everyday practices such as fortune-telling (Deut. 18:9-13).

They would have no need to look for help and guidance from those who practiced soothsaying, used spells and charms, or consulted the spirits of the dead. God would give the people his specially sent messengers, or prophets, to make his will known to them just as Moses had done (Deut. 18: 14-19).
In this present times, God has sent his Son, Jesus to instruct us (Heb. 1:2), Jesus in turn trained and sent his 12 disciples to teach people (Matt. 28:18-20). Throughout history we have learned God’s word through our leaders who have responded to God’s call to go and preach the Gospel of truth. Until today, we get instructions and guidance from people whom God commissioned to do the task.
