Message of the Day: Come to Jesus and Be Refreshed!

Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” (Matt. 11:28, NKJV)

The word “rest” in Greek means “to refresh”. Thus Jesus invites the poor, lost, ruined sinner – the man “heavy ladened” with the guilt of his sins, filled with fear and seeking salvation.

When such helpless human beings come to Jesus, their deepest needs are satisfied and brought to a new relationship with God. They are not just rejuvenated, they are refreshed. They found true refreshment in Jesus.

What gentleness and sweetness there is in this type of invitation by no less than our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Would you respond?
