Message of the Day: We are a Living Witness of God’s Mercy!

I called on the Lord in distress the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place. The Lord is on my side I will not fear. What can man do to me?” (Psalm 118:5-6, NKJV)

This is a song in a procession to mark some great national occasion such as victory in battle. The scene is set in the temple. The singers call the nation Israel to worship, and the congregation responds with praise to God for his steadfast love. The king responds by recounting how God answered his prayer and saved him from his enemies.

When we call upon the Lord in the midst of troubles, when we are pressed on every side, God answers and will give us freedom on every side, so that we could move without obstruction or pain. The Lord is with us, he is our helper, we have nothing to be afraid of.

People cannot destroy us. We are safe in God. We are a standing proof and living witness of God’s mercy. Be encouraged!
