Message of the Day: The Nature of the Christian’s Warfare

For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore take up the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand.” (Ephesians 6:12-13, NKJV)

Christian warfare involves a struggle against hostile demonic powers who opposed God and his people. Ancient soldiers wore armor when they fought their battles, in the same way, Christians must prepare themselves for conflict.

We receive our armor as well as our strength, from God, but we ourselves must fight our own battles. Above all, we must make sure that when the battle is over, we are still on our feet. (Ephesians 6: 10-13,NKJV)
