Message of the Day: Sing Praises to God Every Morning for His Faithful Protection!

But I will sing of your power; Yes I will sing aloud of Your mercy in the morning; For you have been my defense and refuge in the day of my trouble.” (Psalms 59:16,NKJV)

David’s military successes stirred up Saul’s jealousy, resulting in another attempt by Saul to spear him (1 Samuel 19:1-10). David escaped to the safety of his own house. Saul then laid a plot to kill him at his own home, and David escaped only narrowly (1 Samuel 19:11-17). This psalm is about the attempt on David’s life at his residence.

David likens those blood thirsty people who wanted to kill him to wild dogs that prowls. They keep returning every night lurking around looking for their victim. God, however, guards David, and each morning David praises him afresh for his faithful protection.

We can be assured that when the light dawns; when our troubles are over; when the night of calamity shall have passed by. The morning would come; morning after such a night of sorrow and trouble; a morning of joy and gladness, when we would feel that complete deliverance. Then we shall sing praises for God aloud!
