Message of the Day: We Are Saved Only By God’s Grace Not By Our Own Merit!
“Who has saved us and called us with a holy calling, not according to our works, but according to His own purpose and grace which was given to us in Christ Jesus before time began.” (2 Timothy 1:9, NKJV)
At the start of Timothy’s ministry Paul made it clear that he believed Timothy to be divinely gifted for his work. He encourages Timothy to keep working and not to become hesitant through fear of opposition. (2 Timothy 1:6-7)

Far from being timid, Timothy must be bold in showing himself of one mind with Paul in standing for the truth of Jesus Christ. True, this will result in suffering, but he will willingly bear such suffering when he remembers all that God has freely done for him.
God saved us and made us his people only by his grace, not by our own merit. Even before the creation of the world, God planned to grant us eternal life, however, this gift can be ours only through Christ’s victory over death on the cross. (2 Timothy 1:9-10)
