Message of the Day: God’s Favor Is Not A License To Do As We Please But To Refrain From Corruption and Be Holy!

Therefore know that the Lord your God, He is God, the faithful God who keeps covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments.” (Deut. 7:9, NKJV)

God’s purpose for Israel is to preserve them and remove everything that would corrupt their lives. Even the promised land was given not as a license to do as they please but as a reason for them to avoid corruption and be holy. Obedience is the key! If they obey God’s commandments they will be blessed but if they disobey they will be punished!

In the same way, we too should not use God’s favor as a license to do as we please but to use it as a means to refrain from corruption and be holy in God’s sight. Because if we do, we will receive God’s blessing.
