Message of the Day: Those Who Trust God will Flourish Even in Times of Drought!

Blessed is the man who trusts in the Lord, And whose hope is the Lord. For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, Which spreads out its roots by the river, And will not fear when heat comes; But its leaf will be green, And will not be anxious in the year of drought, Nor will cease from yielding fruit.” (Jeremiah 17:7-8, NKJV)

Idolatry has become so much a part of the people’s everyday lives that God sees it as engraved on their hearts. It is so widely practised in Judah that it cannot be removed from the land unless the people themselves are removed. (Jeremiah 17:1-4)

The act of idolatry is an outright rejection of God. If one ignores Him and trust in himself, he is like a useless stunted bush that is planted and grows in a barren land. But if one trusts God, he is like a healthy green tree that flourishes in well-watered fertile soil. (Jeremiah 17:7-8)

Trusting God not our own wisdom and strength, will surely help us flourish in times such as this.
