Earth Hour 2020
March 28, 2020 | 8:30 PM | #CONNECT2EARTH | #EarthHour

Earth Hour was started by WWF and partners as a symbolic lights-out event in 2007. Today, it is one of the world’s largest grassroots movements for the environment. Earth Hour is held every year on the last Saturday of March, it engages millions of people in more than 180 countries and territories, switching off their lights to show support for our planet.
WWF-Philippines Facebook Page reminds all of us to make health and safety our priority as we face this global pandemic (COVID-19). Help our planet recover from the inside of our homes, and be mindful of the impact we have, not just on the environment, but also on our fellow living beings.
The Facebook Page further states, we must do what we can for one another in these trying times. Together, let’s #ChangeTheEnding.

Earth Hour is more than just the switching off of lights – it has become a catalyst for positive environment impact, driving major legislative changes by harnessing the power of the people and collective action.
Everyone is welcome to take part and help to amplify its mission to unite people to protect our planet.Aside from switching off the lights, there are other ways to take part in global event. Log in to http://www.earthhour.org/take-part to know more.
