Message of the Day: All Can Be Justified But Only Through The Grace Of God.
“…for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus,..” (Romans 3:23-24, NKJV)
“Falling short of God’s glory” may allude to the Jewish idea that humanity lost God’s glory when Adam sinned, therefore each generation repeats Adam’s sin; or it may simply mean that no one lives up to God’s standard of justice. “Redemption” or ‘freeing a slave’ was a standard Old Testament concept; the Old Testament terms always involve the paying of a price, sometimes to get something back. God “redeemed” Israel, making them his people by grace paying a price for their freedom.
Old Testament Law cannot make people righteous before God, but God can. Through the death of Christ, God can now declare sinners righteous. This righteousness males them acceptable to Him. It is not their own, it comes from God through the Christ and is received by faith. All of us have sinned, but the good news is, all of us can be justified, however, this justification can only happen only through the grace of God through the death of Christ. (Romans 3:20-24, NKJV).
