Message of the Day: God’s Character Displayed in Creation!
“For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so that they are without excuse..” (Romans 1:20, NKJV)
Stoic philosophers contend that the nature of God was displayed in creation; *Cicero at that time could even assert that no race of humanity was so uncivilized as to deny the existence of the gods, and along with others he argued that the human mind points to what God is like. Jewish Greco-Roman diaspora used this argument to convince pagans to turn to the true God. Even the rabbis tell delightful stories about how Abraham reasoned back to the first cause and showed his fellow Gentiles that there was really only one true God.

Because God is holy, just and true, he has an attitude of wrath or righteous indignation. He is against all forms of sin. It follows that guilty sinners are under his judgment. The Gentiles may not have received the teaching about God that the Jews have received, but they cannot excuse themselves by saying they know nothing about God. The created universe should tell them that there is a supreme being, a powerful Creator, whom they should worship. (Romans 1:18-22)
