Message of the Day: Grow Up! Act in Love!

“…but, speaking the truth in love, may grow up in all things into Him who is the head—Christ.” (Ephesians 4:15, NKJV)

Apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers are divine gifts given to the church in order to build up the believers so that the can do the work of God. This will help them individually and the church as a whole to grow in maturity towards the perfection and fulness that is found in Christ.

Paul speaks primarily of the church’s need for corporate maturity. In doing so, the church needs to practice a truthful and loving manner of life. Christ is the Head and we are the body. We all are to become mature! Mature Christians are confident of their faith and always act towards others in love. We are not like immature children who can be persuaded to believe almost anything!

Truth in word and act, love in manner and spirit, are the Christian’s command! (Ephesians 4:11-15)
