Message of the Day: Christian Freedom is not a License to Continue in Sin, but an Opportunity to Serve One Another in Love!
“For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love serve one another.” (Galatians 5:13, NKJV)
Paul refers to the freedom or release from the servitude of sin, and religious rites and ceremonies, not freedom from the necessary restraint of virtue. The Gospel of Christ proclaims freedom form the rituals of the law and puts us under the moral law. To be free from ceremonial law means that one is under the Gospel of liberty!

Freedom in Christ does not allow us to do as we like. We must think of others and act to please them. Such freedom is not a license to continue in sin. It is an opportunity to serve God and one another. When necessary, serve them as slaves serve their masters. We are bound by love to serve one another. We ought to promote each other’s welfare. For when there is no love, there is no servanthood. We can do this if we regard ourselves as under the law to love another.
