Message of the Day: Immovable! Prepared for the Worst!
“But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God.” (Acts 20:24, NKJV)
From Troas Paul went to land to Assos, where he joined the rest of the party and sailed to Miletus. There Paul decided to meet the elders of the church in Ephesus because of its proximity to Miletus (about 50 kilometers). He wanted to give them some final encouragement and pass on helpful warnings (Acts 20:13-17).

It was suspected that Paul’s detractors in Asia were trying to turn the Christians against him. Therefore, he reminded the Ephesian elders of his tireless work in Ephesus and of the constant danger he encountered from the Jews.
We see here Paul’s absolute dedication to the service of Christ and his preparedness for the worst that he may face in this cause. He has this passion because he is convinced that his mission is directly from Christ and he is preaching the “Gospel of the Grace of God.”
May we have the same dedication and readiness so we will not be moved even in the face of a worst situation, because we know that we are doing God’s will and are declaring his immeasurable Grace.
