Message of the Day: Trust God’s Providence Regardless of Circumstances.
“The Lord God is my strength;
He will make my feet like deer’s feet,
And He will make me walk on my high hills.” (Habakkuk 3:19, NKJV)
Habakkuk chapter 3 is a prayer of the prophet Habakkuk – a cry to God to “repeat” (NIV) his miracles, as he had done in the past. However, the prophet speaks with sublime resignation and confidence in the eternal security of God’s people (3:16-19).

The message of this book is found in 2:4, “The righteous will live by his faith.” Faith is the ability to feel so sure of God that, no matter how dark the day, there is no doubt as to the outcome. For God’s people there is a glorious future. It may be a long way off, but it is absolutely sure. Therefore, in the midst of his gloom and despair, Habakkuk could be an optimist of the first magnitude. Fields and flocks may be destroyed, but Habakkuk will remain faithful to God. He will rest contented in the knowledge that a God of infinite wisdom and power knows what he is doing, and his will is perfect. Such deep trust is the answer to the questions, doubts and complaints that he had earlier expressed.
Through Habakkuk we learn the lesson of faith (2:4) that is, to trust in God’s providence regardless of circumstances. Even if God should allow suffering and loss, we would still rejoice in God our Savior. He is our strength and he will make us walk to safety and abundance.
