Message of the Day: The Lord Can Be Counted On!
“But the Lord is faithful, who will establish you and guard you from the evil one.” (2 Thessalonians 3:3, NKJV)

2 Thessalonians chapter 3 is made up of exhortations and directions in regard to the performance of various Christian duties. The apostle asks for the Thessalonians’ prayers. He desires them to pray particularly that the true religion might be prospered, and that , in preaching the gospel, he might be delivered from the opposition of unreasonable and wicked men.
Paul expresses confidence that God would incline them to do what was right, and prays that he would keep their hearts in his love, and in patient waiting for the Savior. He desires also that God will protect both him and the Thessalonians against the attacks of Satan. The Lord can be counted on no matter how perverse this generation may be. He os still to be believed in as faithful to His promises. Our faith answers to the faithfulness of God.
Let us be assured that God will establish that faith and preserve us from evil. Just like what the Lord’s prayer states, “Lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.”
