Message of the Day: Pride Has No Place In A Christian’s Way Of Thinking.
“For I say, through the grace given to me, to everyone who is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, as God has dealt to each one a measure of faith.” (Romans 12:3, NKJV)
As our minds are changed, we see issues from a different point of view, God’s point of view. As we learn to think in a more Christian way, we will know God’s will better and our actions will be more pleasing to him (Rom. 12:2). This does not mean that we will become proud or hold high opinions of ourselves. Rather, we will learn to be more honest in acknowledging whatever abilities and limitations we have.
God gives each of us a “measure of faith” to fulfill certain ministries in the body of Christ, the church. The power for these gifts comes from God. As a result, there is no place for pride in thinking oneself more important than others on account of the gifts freely given to us.
