Message of the Day: Rejoice in God!
“Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord,
The people He has chosen as His own inheritance.” (Psalm 33:12, NKJV)

David speaks of a “new song” (v. 3; the same words are found in Psalm 40:3; 96:1; 98:1; 144:9). There are old songs that will never grow old; but to God’s people, as they travel along life’s road, there are again and again new deliverances and new joys that put new meaning into old songs.
Israel’s musicians and singers are called to unite in joyous praise to God. He is worthy of people’s praise because of his faithfulness seen in all his righteous works; because of his power, seen in creation and in his irresistible word; and because of his sovereign control, seen in the history events. God, being perfect in knowledge, sees the uselessness of all those achievements in which people put their trust.
Above all, God is worthy of our praise because of the salvation he gives to us who fear him. He gives us life, protection and provision. All who humbly trust in his mercy will find that their lives develop new qualities of patience, confidence and joy.
