Message of the Day: Exalt the Lord, The Prince of Peace!
And in that day you will say:
“Praise the Lord, call upon His name;
Declare His deeds among the peoples,
Make mention that His name is exalted.” (Isaiah 12:4, NKJV)

Isaiah chapter 12 is a song of praise for the day of triumph, which God put in Isaiah’s mouth, one of the songs in the hymnbook of heaven, which we will all sing when we get there, when all discordant elements shall have disappeared.
A central theme of this chapter is that God preserves a remnant out of the destruction of Israel and Judah. Earlier this remnant was likened to the stump of a tree from which springs new life. The remnant is now identified with the royal line of David (son of Jesse) from which comes the Messiah.
The Messiah reverences God and, having the Spirit of God in unlimited measure, knows how to apply God’s wisdom in ruling God’s people. He is the Prince of Peace who governs with perfect love and perfect justice. He is not deceived by outward appearances, and has a particular concern for those who are the victims of injustice and oppression.
