Message of the Day: A Prayer of Joy and Confidence in God’s Faithfulness.
“…being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ…” (Philippians 1:6, NKJV)

Philippians 1:3-11 is the usual way Paul starts his letters. We can compare it with the beautiful prayers in Ephesians 1:16:23; 3:14– 19; Colossians 1:9–12.
In his greetings, Paul mentions in particular the church leaders, as these had probably been responsible for arranging the collection of gifts sent to him. Paul was thankful not only for the present gift, but for the many gifts they have sent him, from his visit to their city to his current imprisonment.
Through their prayers and gifts they have been true partners with him in spreading the gospel. Paul prays that the work of God in their lives will continue to grow and develop till it reaches perfection in the day when they stand before Christ. His feelings of joy towards them are but a reflection of Christ’s feelings.
This is reminds us of the faithfulness of God. He will surely finish what he has started in your life.
