Message of the Day: Be Zealous with Spiritual Matters!

As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten. Therefore be zealous and repent. Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears My voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and dine with him, and he with Me.” (Revelation 3:19-20)

Rev. 3:14-22 contains the message to the church in Laodecia. It is located near the modern Denizil. Laodecia was the wealthiest city in Phrygia during the period of the Romans. It was widely known for its banking establishments, medical school and textile industry. But they lack they are lukewarm and lacking in spiritual zealousness. God wanted them to be fervent in their faith. Being prosperous is not enough to establish a warm fellowship with the Lord. They need to strengthen their spiritual zealousness.

If our measure of spiritual security and prosperity is material success, then we fall to the same sin as the Laodecians. We will become lukewarm or inactive. Read more: Be Zealous, Repent, Hear and Open your Heart for Jesus
