Message of the Day: Christians Want the Light Turned On. They Are Not Afraid to Be Exposed
“For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” (John 3:20-21, NKJV)

God’s purpose in sending his Son into the world was positive. He wanted people to believe in him and so hav eternal life. But if people prefer the darkness of their own sin to the light of salvation through Jesus, they bring judgment upon themselves by their own choice.
Now that Jesus has come into the world, the difference between light and darkness, good and evil, is clearly seen. People either come into the light of Jesus for cleansing or remain in the darkness of their sin. Once they have come into God’s light, they see that every action of their new life is only the result of God’s work within them. They do not claim that they are perfect, only that they have been wrought in the sphere of and in the power of God. hence they want the light turned on.
Thus, as Christians we love the truth, we seek it, we follow it, and we do it. We do not aim to deceive ourselves so we come to the light. We are not afraid to be exposed to the light because that’s the only way that we will be able to know ourselves and the true state of our heart before God. Finally, we desire to be good, to receive help from God, and to perform these actions mentioned here, as God approves.
