A newly-released documentary on Pope Francis’ life and ministry entitled “Francesco”, contains comments from the pope on civil union. The comments however, were the result editing particular phrases from a papal interview. The director, Evgeny Afineevsky presented the statements as a cohesive whole, as if Pope Francis had said them one right after the other.
