Message of the Day: We Can Always Depend On God’s Help
“Wait on the Lord;
Be of good courage,
And He shall strengthen your heart;
Wait, I say, on the Lord!” (Psalm 27:14, NKJV)

The psalter is fully confident in the power of God and in God’s willingness to protect hm. His desire is to live his life as if he is in the presence of God continually. Thereby he will have protection, and his life will be one of constant strength and joy.
He prays that God will hear his prayers and never run away from him. Others might reject him , but he is confident that God care of him will never fail. In view of the persecution he suffers, he asks that God will teach him more about the way he should live. He remains confident in God and this gives him patience. Whatever may happen, he knows that he can always depend on God’s help.
God was the strength of his life. He trusted God fearlessly. He loved to sing, and to pray, and to wait on the Lord. Now he compels us, in view of his own experience, to trust in the Lord; to rely upon him; to come to him in trouble and danger; to wait fore his intervention when all other resources fail.
We ought to be strong and not faint. We will not be dismayed but will continue to hope and trust in the Lord for he will enable us to perform our duties, and to triumph over our adversaries.
In times of danger and difficulty, instead of sinking down in despair and hopelessness, instead of giving up all effort, we should go forward, putting our trust solely in the Lord.
