Message of the Day: An Intimate, Living and Spiritual Union With Christ!
“As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord, so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith, as you have been taught, abounding in it with thanksgiving.” (Colossians 2:6-7, NKJV)

Paul reminds the believers that receiving Christ is only the beginning of the Christian life. There must be continual growth through building the life on him.
Seeing that we have embraced the doctrine of Christ, we must continue to hold it fast, and not permit ourselves to be turned aside. We are persuaded not to swerve from the views which we had of Christ when he was made known to us. We are assured that the views which we had when we received Christ were founded in truth.
The word “walk”, in the Scriptures, is used to denote the manner of life, and the sense here is, that we should love and act based on our knowledge of our Savior Jesus Christ when we first embrace him.We should hold fast the doctrine which we have received, and do not permit yourselves to be turned aside by any other teachings.
As a tree strikes its roots deep in the earth, so our faith should strike deep into the doctrine respecting the Savior. We are to express overflowing thanks to God that we have been made acquainted with truths so precious and glorious. If there is any thing for which we ought to be thankful, it is for the knowledge of the great truths respecting our Lord and Saviour.
Let us maintain an intimate, spiritual, and living union with Christ our Savor.
