Message of the Day: Jesus, Our Good Shepherd, Has A Deep Interest In Our Welfare!
“I am the good shepherd; and I know My sheep, and am known by My own.” (John 10:14, NKJV)

The flock of Jesus consists not merely of those in the shepherd of Israel, but includes people of all nations and languages. They are drawn together as one flock under the shepherd Jesus. The understanding between the shepherd and the sheep is the same as the understand between the Father and the Son (John 10:14-16).
The Old Testament often described Israel’s covenant relationship with God as “knowing” him, which meant having an intimate and obedient relationship with him.
As shepherd, Jesus “know” his sheep. That is, he knows our wants, our dangers, and our characters. This knowledge results in a deep interest in our welfare. it prompts him to help and defend us. (Read: Jesus Is Our Shepherd, In Him We Are Saved, Protected, and Amply Supplied!)
As Jesus’ sheep, we know him as our protector and savior, we acknowledge him and his truth before the world.
