Message of the Day: Live and Manifest the Characteristics of the New Creation
“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.” (2 Corinthians 5:17, NKJV)

Before Paul became a Christian, he had judged Jesus by the standards of the ordinary person of the world, and in so doing had judged him wrongly. Now he no longer judges Jesus, or anyone else, from a merely human standpoint, because in Christ he sees everything in a new light. Old attitudes go and new attitudes replace them.
Being in Christ is to be united with him through faith and commitment. Just as the branch is in the vine – that is, so united to the vine, or so in it, as to derive all its nourishment and support from it, and to be sustained entirely by it. All our strength is derived from Christ; and denotes further that we shall partake of his fullness, and share in his blessedness and glory, as the branch partakes of the strength and vigor of the parent vine.
Redemption is the restoration and fulfillment of God’s purposes in creation, and this takes place in Christ, through whom all things were made and in whom all things are restored or created anew. In Christ we are a new creation. The purposes of life, the feelings of the heart, the principles of action, all become new. We are to live and manifest the characteristics of the new creation.
