Message of the Day: If God Cares for the Birds, How Much More Does He Care for Humans?
“Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they?” (Matthew 6:26, NKJV)

People get into bondage to material things not because they are greedy, but because they worry too much about having enough money to look after themselves. They should realize that if God gives life, he can also give what is necessary to maintain life.
If God cares for the birds, how much more does he care for humans? Look at how God feed them from his hand! How he ministers to their needs! How cheerfully and regularly are their necessities supplied! They do not sow or reap; they fill the woods with their music, and meet the coming light of the morning with their songs, unanxious about the supply of their needs, yet how few die with hunger! They are taken care of by the heavenly Father!
Let us therefore face this new year with this thought from the word of God: The birds who are incapable of sowing, reaping, and storing: yet our Heavenly Father takes care of them and sustains them so that they do not helplessly perish. Will he see us then, using all the means which reason, skills, and might dictate to procure the things needful for the body – looking up to him at every step – and yet leave us to starve?
