Message of the Day: Occupy Your Mind With The Things That Are Good And Honorable!
“Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy—meditate on these things.” (Philippians 4:8, NKJV)

Paul understood the influence of one’s thoughts on one’s life. What a person allows to occupy his mind will sooner or later determine his speech and his action. Paul’s exhortation to “dwell on these things” is followed by a second exhortation, “practice these things” (v.9). The combination of virtues listed in v.v. 8-9 is sure to produce a wholesome thought pattern, which in turn will result in a life of moral and spiritual excellence.
By filling our minds with the things that are good and honorable, we will have conduct that is good and honorable. Religiosity is love with its face towards God; morality is love with its face towards man. May we have a continual regard to these things. Let them be the object of our careful attention. Esteem them highly, practise them fervently!
