Message of the Day: God’s Great Love Manifested in Jesus!
“In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins.” (I John 4:10, NKJV)

It is God’s nature to love. Love in human nature has been spoiled by sin, but when we are born again by the work of God, we learn to love as God loves. The character of God’s love is seen in his act of giving his Son to die for those who have rebelled against him. We were alienated from him, we had no desire for his friendship and favor, we are worthy of death. In this state he manifested the greatness of his love for us by sending his Son, Jesus. He died to bear the judgment of sin on our behalf (propitiation, atoning sacrifice). As a result we can now have life.
It was God’s love, not our merit, that prompted him to devise means to recue us so we will not be banished from his presence. God desired our welfare. He loved us not with the love of self-satisfaction, but of kindness and generosity.
