Message of the Day: A Gospel For All!
“Let it be known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that by the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, by Him this man stands here before you whole. This is the ‘stone which was rejected by you builders, which has become the chief cornerstone.’ Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:10-12, NKJV)

Peter accused the Jews, especially their leaders, of rejecting and crucifying the Messiah. God by contrast, raised him from death and gave him the place of highest honor. Jesus fulfilled the Old Testament messianic promises, and if the Jews rejected him, no other way of salvation was available to them.
Peter’s declaration that there is salvation in no one besides Jesus puts forward a gospel for all as much as it excludes any other way of salvation. It is amazing to see Peter speaking thus to the Sanhedrin and proclaiming the necessity of salvation in the name of Christ and and in no other. If this is true then, it is true today. There is no second name to go beside that of Jesus in any other parts of the globe.
