Message of the Day: God’s Compassion Never Fails!

The faithful love of the Lord never ends!
His mercies never cease.
Great is his faithfulness;
his mercies begin afresh each morning
.” (Lamentations 3:22, NLT)

The author of Lamentations portrays God like a wild animal that tears its prey to pieces, or like a hunter who has shot his prey with an arrow. Mocked and afflicted, he feels like one who has been punished by being forced to eat and drink things that are harmful to him. He is like a person whose face has been rubbed in the ground and whose joy for life has gone. He feels hurt and depressed, yet in all the darkness of his suffering he now sees a ray of hope. God may punish, but he still trusts in God. He knows that God’s steadfast love does not change. It is constant and reliable. (3:10-24)

When we are humbled and aware of our sinfulness, we find God instead of dealing with us in judgment, has dealt with us in mercy, and that though at times, our affliction is excessive, yet it is less than our iniquity deserve. If, indeed, sinners be kept out of trouble, it is because God’s compassion never fails.

  1. Psalm 100:4
    New International Version
    4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving
    and his courts with praise;
    give thanks to him and praise his name.

    Psalm 103:12
    New International Version
    12 as far as the east is from the west,
    so far has he removed our transgressions from us.

    That is what is done for us all, done once at his death, when all sin then got taken away from Father’s sight. Proven in the risen Christ, testified to us by the Disciples and over 500 witnesses to boot this as truth

    It is not for to be taken for granted as many have thought that over the years. Grace is not meant to continue in sin, is meant to lead us out of sin. How? Not of self, as is so much taught to us to do, and as I see it, that brings in more troubles, under Law as Romans 7 teaches to not be under Law, rather appreciate it, and by Faith to God stand in that and hear truth over error
    l to be used by God I am beginning to see to just be God’s Vessel, to be used by God, as Jesus so well taught for us to do,
    Thanks for the posts Brother for sharing in care as I see you do

  2. True. As a new Christian I hadn’t learned to obey yet, but God had mercy on me, disciplining me but not giving me the full measure of punishment I deserved. Guess is because Christ already took it for me.
